The department of Digital Resource Management is responsible for managing all systems and applications for which the library operates as system owner. In addition, the department also manages the knowledge base of the library and its underlying metadata models. The department provides knowledge and capacity on IT development to the other departments and projects.

Job description

At the library of the Erasmus University, the digital transformation is nearly complete: 95% of the collection is sourced digitally and 99% of our usage is fully digital. Additionally, the library is the linchpin in collecting, managing, and presenting its own academic output: scholarly publications, data sets, learning resources, and academic heritage. Our challenge for the coming period is to integrate data from different resources and to make it seamlessly retrievable in the working environment of our users.

The department (12 FTE) consists of a team of metadata specialists, a team of functional administrators and a team of IT consultants/developers. The department members are experienced professionals, who are more in need of guidance than firm direction. You guide them in their personal development and ensure that they can work as a team. As Head of Digital Resource Management, you will also be part of the library's management team.
