The Department of Arts & Culture Studies of the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC) is looking for three new colleagues: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN MEDIA AND POPULAR CULTURE (0,8 – 1,0 fte) ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN CULTURAL HERITAGE (0,8 – 1,0 fte) ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN CREATIVE INDUSTRIES & DIGITALIZATION (0,8 – 1,0 fte) ESHCC is increasing its research and education in the area of Cultural Heritage, Creative Industries and Popular Culture. Do you have a PhD degree in the field of Arts and Culture Studies or a related field and some years of experience? Come join our school as an assistant professor.

Employment starts preferably on 1 November 2022 and will run for a fixed term of 1.5 years initially, to be converted into a permanent contract contingent upon an excellent performance.
The conditions of employment correspond with the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) of the Dutch Universities (CAO NU). Salary is dependent on your training, experience, knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 3.974,- to a maximum of € 6.181,- gross per month on a fulltime basis, in accordance with Scale 11 or 12 of the CAO-NU. In accordance with the CAO NU a placement in a starting grade is possible for the maximum duration of two years.
In addition, we offer an 8% holiday allowance, an end-of-year payment of 8.3%, and a very generous paid leave scheme. Furthermore, EUR is affiliated with ABP for the pension provision, and we offer partially paid parental leave, fully paid extended birth leave for partners, a personal career budget, work-life balance coaches, discounted collective health insurance, and more.
