The Department of Media and Communication of the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC) is looking for four new colleagues: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (1.0 fte) IN AI & SOCIETY ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (1.0 fte) IN MEDIA & CREATIVE INDUSTRIES ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (1.0 fte) IN DIGITALIZATION AND RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (1.0 fte) MEDIATIZATION & DIGITALIZATION The Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC) is extending its research and educational activities in the area of Digitalization, Mediatization and Media & Creative Industries. To be eligible, a candidate must have:
Employment starts preferably on 1 November 2022 and will run for a fixed term of 1.5 years initially, to be converted into a permanent contract contingent upon an excellent performance.
The conditions of employment correspond with the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) of the Dutch Universities (CAO NU). Salary is dependent on your training, experience, knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 3.974,- to a maximum of € 6.181,- gross per month on a fulltime basis, in accordance with Scale 11 or 12 of the CAO-NU. In accordance with the CAO NU a placement in a starting grade is possible for the maximum duration of two years.
In addition, we offer an 8% holiday allowance, an end-of-year payment of 8.3%, and a very generous paid leave scheme. Furthermore, EUR is affiliated with ABP for the pension provision, and we offer partially paid parental leave, fully paid extended birth leave for partners, a personal career budget, work-life balance coaches, discounted collective health insurance, and more. The Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC) is part of Erasmus University Rotterdam. The school has three departments: History, Arts and Culture and Media & Communication. There are approximately 2500 students and over 220 employees.
