This vacancy falls within the new interdisciplinary EUR-broad SSH-program “The influence of digitalization on work, prosperity and entrepreneurship”. For this program, a new Assistant Professor is recruited at the Department of Psychology, Education and Child Studies, to connect with the theme “Digitalization, new ways of working and the new employee”.
Position
As an Assistant Professor you will be joining our Work and Organizational Psychology team. You develop your own innovative research line “Digitalization, new ways of working and the new employee”, which also fits one or more of the main research lines in our team: employee well-being, selection and assessment, work engagement, team processes, and leadership.
You will be participating in teaching in the Bachelor’s degree program in Psychology in the domains relevant to Work and Organizational Psychology and the international Master’s degree programs of Work and Organizational Psychology. Teaching involves lectures, (small-scale) workgroups, practicals, workshops, and individual supervision of practical internships and research theses, along with more general tasks of coordination and administration.

An internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with good working conditions in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).
The start date of this position is preferably per 31/12/2023, or another starting date in mutual agreement, and you will be based at ESSB on the Woudestein Campus, Rotterdam. The successful candidate will be offered a 0.8-1.0 FTE one-year contract with Erasmus University Rotterdam. This contract can, in case of positive assessment and unchanged organizational circumstances, be turned into a fixed employment contract. In accordance with the conditions applied at Erasmus University Rotterdam as indicated in the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO NU) of the Dutch universities, the salary is dependent on the candidate’s experience and is set at a maximum of CAO NU scale 11 with a minimum of € 4.332 and a maximum of € 5.929 gross per month, on a fulltime basis. In addition, EUR pays an 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year payment of 8.3% and offers excellent secondary benefits, and a very generous leave scheme. Furthermore, EUR is affiliated with ABP for the pension provision and we offer partially paid parental leave, fully paid extended birth leave for partners, a personal education budget, work-life balance coaches and more. Employees can also use EUR facilities, such as the Erasmus sports center and the University library.
