Utrecht University School of Economics (USE) has a vacancy for a lecturer in Management or related disciplines.

Your job
You will prepare and teach courses in our bachelor in Economics and Business Economics, and (depending on expertise) in Master programs in Business Development and Entrepreneurship, International Management, Business and Social Impact, or Science and Business Management.

You will take care of teaching in accordance with the academic and departmental guidelines. Furthermore, you will supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses and other research projects by students.

Requirements

The successful candidate is expected to have a thorough knowledge and skills in teaching Management (or Strategy, Innovation Management and/or Entrepreneurship), more particularly:
  • a PhD degree in economics, management or a related discipline - candidates close to PhD graduation are also welcome to apply;
  • relevant knowledge and skills with teaching in (a subset of) the disciplines: strategy, innovation management and/or entrepreneurship;
  • teaching experience in an international academic environment with the proven ability to inspire students from undergraduate to graduate levels, possibly apparent from positive assessments by students and peers;
  • excellent communication and coordination skills;
  • excellent command of spoken and written English;
  • being able to teach in Dutch is a plus.

Conditions of employment

We offer:
  • a position as a lecturer for four years;
  • a full-time gross salary between €4,332 and €6,737 in the case of full-time employment (salary scale 11-12 under the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU));
  • 8% holiday bonus and 8.3% end-of-year bonus;
  • a pension scheme, partially paid parental leave, and flexible employment conditions based on the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities.
