Job description

This research will be performed in close collaboration with the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) initiative, which is a global, multi-stakeholder, interdisciplinary collaborative to bring out the value of health data through large-scale analytics , and the EU-sponsored European Health Data and Evidence Network (EHDEN) which develop frameworks to generate reliable real-world evidence.

In your function as Epidemiologist you will be responsible for all aspects of observational research including protocol writing, input in the statistical analysis plan, study execution, interpretation of results and report/manuscript writing.

Requirements

  • MPH, MSc and preferably a PhD in Epidemiology or Public Health
  • Post-graduate work experience in real-world evidence
  • Experience in designing and executing prospective or retrospective epidemiological studies, including database analyses
  • Evidence of previous experience utilising large-scale anonymous patient level retrospective healthcare databases
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience in statistical analysis (e.g. R, Stata, Python)

Conditions of employment

  • As an Epidemiologist you will have a temporary position of 1 year (full-time) with the option for an extension.
  • The gross monthly salary amounts a maximum of € 5.383,- (scale 11), depending on your level of education and relevant experience, based on a full-time working week of 36 hours.
  • Excellent fringe benefits, such as a 13th month that is already paid out in November and an individual travel expense package.
  • Pension insurance with ABP, we take care of approximately 2/3 of the monthly contribution.
  • Special benefits, such as an incompany physiotherapist and bicycle repairer. There is also a gym where you can work on your fitness after work.
