The applicant will be appointed as a tenure track assistant professor and contribute to research and teaching within the areas of operations research and operations management. Teaching concerns courses in the Econometrics and Operations Research programs, as well as in business and economics programs at SBE, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Research falls within the Graduate School of Business and Economics. The QE department has a strong research record in mathematics of operations research, econometrics and economic theory. It is largely responsible for the bachelor and master programs in Econometrics and Operations Research, including Data Science, Mathematical Economics and Actuarial Science, with yearly enrolment of around 90 bachelor and 35 master students.

You will be employed temporarily for 12 months as assistant professor (level 2) and will co-develop and agree to specific development goals. Towards the end of this contract period and upon satisfactory performance, this 12 months position will become permanent. Your development goals will also allow you to grow further to the position of assistant professor (level 1).
The salary depends on academic qualifications and experience. The salary will be set between minimum gross month salary € 3.974 and maximum gross month salary of € 5.439 based on a full-time employment and in accordance with scale 11 of the Collective Labour Agreement of the Dutch Universities.
Each year the standard salary is supplemented with a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% of the yearly gross income.
