Job description

As a marketing communication intern with us, you work together with the Communications Specialist to clearly communicate the proposition of the organisation in the market. The channels used for this include the website, social media channels, printed matter (flyers, brochures) and our own magazine that is published three times a year: InnovatieNU. Our communication materials are published in two languages (English and Dutch). Flawless English speaking and writing is not necessary for this position.

Your tasks will include:
  • Textual communication (writing, optionally translation)
  • Visual communication (laying out documents and presentations, illustrating, optionally animating)
  • Creating (promotional) content and share new insights with us about it
  • Maintaining the digital channels: website and social media channels
  • Supporting in events organised by us
  • Optionally a research assignment

Requirements

  • You are studying for an applied sciences (HBO) bachelors degree in the field of graphic design and communications;
  • You are looking for a work internship, optionally with research assignment
  • You master the MS Office package and the Adobe Suite (at least Illustrator and InDesign)
  • You have at least basic proficiency in English
  • Affinity with high-tech developments is an advantage, but is not required

Conditions of employment

At the FIP AM@UT, as part of the University of Twente, we work in a small international team of about 25 colleagues in a brand new office building opposite the UT campus entrance. Our colleagues, mainly Research Engineers, use their expertise to help companies, mostly local SMEs, take the next step in future-proofing their processes and production environment. This can be in the field of AI implementation, the introduction or optimisation of 3D printing in the processes, digitisation, and so on.
