We are looking for a new colleagues to join our cluster on Evidence-based adaptive management for food systems transformation at Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation. Our work portfolio contains short-term and longer-term food system development assignments, focusing on translating knowledge into action.

As a PMEL advisor you will have the opportunity to become involved in a variety of projects and PMEL- related services with a focus on knowledge support of food system transformation. You will (co-)develop PMEL approaches, methods and tools, support programmes in specific PMEL activities through facilitation of planning and learning and technical M&E advice, and support and/or conduct evaluations of complex change processes. You will also design and facilitate trainings and workshops and develop training-related materials, tools and methodologies for as well online as face to face application. Next to project implementation, you will contribute to further developing our international profile and portfolio of work in PMEL for food system transformation, and bring a professional network that enables you to do so.

It is currently envisioned that in the first year, a considerable part of the work will focus on supporting ongoing projects. Projects primarily take place in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, the MENA region and to a lesser extend Latin America. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues in Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation and other WUR departments as well as with external partners and clients

• At least an MSc degree in a relevant disciple; for example international development studies, sociology, anthropology or development economics;
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferably in research and or project management;
• Highly developed analytical skills, experience with qualitative�and quantitative�monitoring and evaluation methods and survey design, including participatory approaches;
• Experience in programme M&E, facilitation�of�strategic planning�(e.g.�theories of change) and learning�trajectories;�
• Good understanding of the transformation of agri-food sectors and food systems;
• Ability to work hybrid and use online (collaboration) tools;
• Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety of disciplinary and cultural backgrounds;
• Your English proficiency is excellent (a minimum of CEFR C1 level). For more information about this proficiency level, please visit our special language page. Proficiency in French is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel outside Europe; You are able to adapt to changing work environments and have a flexible attitude towards the needs and views of partners and clients.

You will initially receive a one-year contract, which will be extended to an open-ended contract upon in mutual enthusiasm.
