The research project 'Rethinking the Outer Limits of Secondary Liability for International Crimes and Serious Human Rights Violations' (https://rethinkingslic.org/) has an immediate vacancy for a student assistant in Criminal Law.

What are you going to do?
For the support of the project you will be deployed at:
  • the Expert Group on Secondary Liability
  • the research meetings;
  • maintaining the website;
  • support research of SLIC-team members

Requirements

Our ideal candidate has the following profile and experience:
  • affinity with human rights and international criminal law;
  • excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English;
  • demonstrated organisational skills, including strong administrative skills;
  • is available one day per week for the period of the project.

Conditions of employment

We offer a temporary part-time contract (0.2 fte) for the period from preferably October 15th, 2023 until August 31th, 2024.

The gross monthly salary based on full-time employment (38 hours per week) ranges from €2,618 up to a maximum of €2,846 (salary scale SA4J). This is exclusive 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% end-of-year bonus. The starting salary will be based on qualifications, expertise and relevant experience. The profile student-assistant is applicable in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities.
