Job description

EHRI (European Holocaust Research Infrastructure) is a European project that facilitates research into the Holocaust. It is a large consortium of Holocaust archives, museums and research organisations from across Europe, Israel and the United States. EHRI is funded by the European Commission and several National Ministries, and is currently in the process of establishing itself as a permanent European Research Organisation in the form of an European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC). The project manager (0.6-0.8 FTE) is responsible for the successful implementation of EHRI, working closely with the EHRI Co-Directors. You will be providing maternity leave cover for the current project manager. We are looking to fill this position no later than 1 March 2024. It is offered until 31 August 2024. The search committee intends to interview candidates in the week of 11 December.

You are responsible for project administration, consortium management and reporting to funders.

This is what you will do
  • Acting as a contact for the consortium, funders and other stakeholders;
  • Maintaining and managing communication with the consortium, governance bodies and funders;
  • Organizing physical and virtual meetings, taking minutes of meetings and monitoring the follow-up of actions;
  • Monitoring the scientific and administrative progress of EHRI;
  • Coordinating the drafting of reports to funders;
  • Managing and coordinating the help desk;
  • Assisting the co-Directors with management tasks as required.

Requirements

  • strong interpersonal, diplomatic and intercultural skills;
  • excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
  • good IT skills (MS Office, etc.);

  • a willingness to work flexibly with tight deadlines.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 6 maanden.

Terms of employment
Depending on education and experience the minimum salary is 3.226 and the maximum salary is 5.090 gross per month for a full-time appointment (scale 10 cao Nederlandse Universiteiten/KNAW). This is exclusive of 8% vacation allowance, 8.3% year-end bonus, travel allowance, internet allowance, home working allowance and pension accrual with ABP.
