Job description

Tasks and responsibilities
You have a great affinity with organizing events, working with schedules and deadlines, and collaborating with various disciplines and teams. You are responsible that Erasmus Enterprise events run smoothly and successfully.

You will liaise with both internal (EUR) and external clients/ partners, work closely with our Community Manager and report to the Head of Business Development.
 

Some of the daily tasks:

  • You have a leading role in the organization and event management of large-scale Erasmus Enterprise projects, including Erasmus University Challenge, Talent for Transition and NL Startup Competition;
  • ·You maintain a lot of contact by e-mail, telephone and during events. With our community members and EUR-colleagues as clients, but also with external clients, guests, speakers, and other involved parties. So, you like social interaction, and you quickly understand the needs of visitors and customers;
  • You take care of and coordinate the necessary services for events, such as catering, technical support, the facilities, and the decoration;
  • You are the contact person for the client and the suppliers before, during and after the events;
  • You work closely with the marketing department in the promotion of all Erasmus Enterprise events via social media channels (Instagram and LinkedIn) and the website;
  • You draw up clear offers, manage the reservation process and liaise with our controller regarding the invoicing process;
  • You like to think along with the further professionalization of the Events & Community department;

Requirements

What do you take with you?
You are an organizational talent and enjoy tackling challenges, organizing, and working together. You are someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with deadlines. You take an active and independent approach to your work. By working in a structured way and keeping an overview, you can quickly switch between the different (sometimes ad hoc) activities. You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Dutch and English. Any other language you master is an advantage.

Job requirements:

  • A completed education at HBO/ WO level (preferably in a commercial direction);
  • You have 3 – 5 years of successful related event management experience;
  • You have excellent oral and written presentation skills in English;
  • You are precise, flexible and stress resistant;
  • You have strong planning and organizational skills;
  • You have great adaptability - you can adjust your priorities and schedules to meet deadlines;
  • You are driven – You are committed to creating strong results and you like to over-deliver;
  • You are open-minded and spontaneous;
  • You have a 'can do' attitude, enthusiasm for challenges and a strong work ethic.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: Fixed-term contract: one year, with the possibility of a longer-term contract if you show that you fit in well with our team.
