Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) is renowned for its cutting-edge research and innovative educational programs. Over the next few years, TU Delft will be launching several new bachelor and master programs, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Curriculum Developer to join our team and support these new initiatives.

As a Curriculum Developer at TU Delft, you will be at the forefront of educational innovation, contributing to the creation of comprehensive and forward-thinking academic programs. Your role will encompass the entire lifecycle of curriculum development, from initial concept to final accreditation, ensuring that each program meets the highest standards of academic excellence and industry relevance.

You will collaborate closely with faculty, department heads, and other key stakeholders to gather insights and requirements, and translate these into effective and engaging curricula. Your expertise in curriculum development will be instrumental in shaping the content and structure of the new programs.

As a curriculum desiger, you will be part of the Teaching and Learning Services team, in which you are part of a group of 10 blended learning advisors within O&S (E&SA). With the other advisors, you will exchange knowledge and experiences, develop new materials to support lecturers and faculties and find ways to promote collaboration between faculties. In a friendly and dynamic environment, you will work on our mission to make an impact for a better society by supporting the creation of high-quality education to the engineers of the future.

A significant part of your role will involve sharing your knowledge and best practices in curriculum design with colleagues across the university. You will develop resources and training materials to support sustainable curriculum development practices, ensuring that TU Delft remains at the cutting edge of educational methodologies.

You will also help develop and lead workshops aimed at engaging different stakeholders in the curriculum design process. These workshops will serve as a platform for collaborative brainstorming and problem-solving, fostering a shared vision for the new programs. 

Part of your role will be assisting in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. You will coordinate with projectmanagers and stakeholders from various departments and external partners, aiding in new programs being launched successfully. Your ability to support processes will be crucial in supporting momentum and helping achieve project goals.

Requirements

  • You have a relevant university education, preferably in educational sciences, instructional design, or curriculum development. Or you have a comparable level based on work experience
  • You have demonstrable experience in developing and accrediting (new) programs in higher education
  • You like sharing and embedding your knowledge about curriculum design, so that it can be used sustainably within the organization
  • You enjoy being part of a social and fun-loving, intercultural team, that has an open feedback culture and enjoys taking on new and challenging tasks
  • You like supporting projects with many stakeholders
  • You are willing to collaborate in a team context and able to drive and initiate processes and enthusiasm
  • You enjoy developing and supervising workshops with different stakeholders with the aim of designing a curriculum
  • You enjoy working in an international environment and can easily switch from speaking Dutch to fluent English

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 jaar.

  • Duration of contract is 1 year. 
  • A job of 32-40 hours per week.
  • A salary based on scale 11 of the CAO for Dutch Universities with a minimum of €4.492,- and a maximum of €6.148,- gross per month based on a fulltime contract (38 hours), plus 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.

Education & Student Affairs (ESA) provides educational support by taking care of education and student administration, coordinating education policy, functional management of educational applications and providing monitoring- and management reports, supporting and supervising Dutch and international students and PhD candidates, providing training in teaching and other areas, giving educational advice and support and organising sport & culture activities. ESA is made up of the departments Education Service Centre, Academic Services, Information Management and X. ESA employs around 250 staff.
