As a project coordinator you will par;cipate in the set-up of therapy development projects and you will coordinate, maintain oversight and keep track of ;melines in the projects and develop working procedures.
The Radboud university medical center (Radboudumc) aims to accelerate the development of therapies for rare diseases by means of a bench-to-bedside-and-back approach. The interdisciplinary team’s goal is to create a productive, effective and sustainable ecosystem for academic drug development for indications that currently lack satisfactory treatments.
The ‘Therapy accelerator for rare diseases’ team consists of 16 persons with various areas of expertise and has been operational since March this year. The team is currently selecting 2-3 therapy development projects that they will intensively support in kind for a year. In addition, the team will start an advice desk to answer questions from researchers about drug development in rare diseases and set up an expert network in the Radboudumc.
You will function as the project coordinator for the 2-3 selected projects, which means that you will be the primary point of contact for the researcher. Together with the colleagues involved, you will make project proposals and guard the projects’ timelines and milestones.
You will play an active role in the therapy development advice desk, where you will keep track of questions asked, find the appropriate experts, and archive both the questions and answering approaches. You will be proactive in network building within the Radboudumc together with the community manager.
In addition, you may develop ‘Working Instructions’ (WIs) for common processes during these support trajectories. Furthermore, this function entails a range of other tasks, such as operating the team’s general email inbox, supporting the rollout of the communication plan, and organizing and structuring information in databases and processes.
Tasks and responsibilities - Organize and lead meetings with researchers, team members, and other experts to discuss the drug development projects.
- Set up project plans and keep track of goals, timelines, and milestones in consultation with the involved team members.
- Support the project lead of the Therapy Accelerator team.
- Set up an expert network at Radboudumc, together with the community manager.
- Operate the general team inbox.
- Organize and structure the output of the team in a database.
- Develop procedures and author WIs when needed.
