Job description

Join one of Europe's leading Business Schools in Executive Education and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of executive education. As a key member of our in-house instructional design team, you will help architect our learning ecosystem, focusing on designing and implementing delivery models for diverse audiences, including MBA, Global Executive MBA, and executive education programs (Open and Customised).

Our goal is to provide learners with relevant educational solutions (what), when and where they need them. Our programs, delivered by internationally recognised thought leaders, are designed to be experiential and impactful. By expanding our in-house instructional design team, we aim to accelerate our efforts to achieve these ambitions and set new standards in executive education.

Job description
As an instructional technologist, you will collaborate with our subject matter experts and instructional designers to translate static content into digital learning materials for online courses and interactive modules, complementing our in-person delivery models.

To meet our ambitions, you will identify and incorporate technological tools and software into our offerings, playing a key role in building and scaling adaptive learning solutions. Additionally, you will provide essential input and guidance to ensure a seamless, end-to-end transformative learning experience. You will also be instrumental in establishing our learning analytics strategy and architecture.

As Instructional technologist, you will:
  • Design and produce engaging multimedia content for a diverse audience, following instructional design principles aligned with our vision.
  • Maintain and update existing learning content, and upload and manage the integration of new content to our learning management system (Canvas).
  • Ensure quality standards in branding, style, and consistency during content creation.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, internal delivery units, and other relevant stakeholders to translate complex information into user-friendly, engaging multimedia formats.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of technology to create engaging and effective learning experiences for our diverse audience.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our instructional design strategy to enhance overall learning outcomes and learner satisfaction.

Depending on your skills and preferences, you may also have the opportunity to work directly with our corporate clients, designing complex, customised programs to meet their unique needs.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following knowledge, expertise or skills.

You will have a strong background in instructional design, with a focus on integrating technology to enhance educational outcomes. This is evidenced by your ability to translate complex information and static content into high-quality, engaging, and impactful digital content for adult learners. Additionally, you will have excellent project management skills and a proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively, ensuring successful collaboration and timely project delivery.

Ideally, you also have:
  • Proficiency in multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Articulate 360).
  • Familiarity with e-learning standards (e.g., SCORM, AICC, xAPI).
  • Advanced experience working with Canvas.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and web design principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and preferably Dutch.
  • Knowledge of adaptive learning designs and standards.
  • Expertise in learning analytics and how it can be used to assess and improve the effectiveness of instructional materials and learner outcomes.
  • Graphic design skills.
