Project description
The 3D organization of chromatin controls gene expression and cell identity. The aim of this project is to design proteins to study and interrogate the relationship between chromatin organization and gene expression. Ultimately this could enable us to reverse diseased chromatin states and create artificial chromatin states for biomedical and biotechnological purposes.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to design chromatin regulatory proteins and test their function inside mammalian cells. The research is carried out in a highly dynamic, interdisciplinary and collaborative environment. Experience with mammalian cell culture and chromatin biology is required. Candidates that also have experience with scientific computing and basic programming have an advantage.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year (3 years extension after positive evaluation).
