As an IT Contract Manager, you are responsible for managing and optimizing the main IT contracts within WUR. You do this by being involved in the creation of new contracts and managing existing contracts according to the CATS-CM methodology. This ensures that contracts meet the needs of the organization and that the service from suppliers proceeds according to previously made agreements.
We ask the Contract Manager to have a broad view of the different interests, you quickly understand what is happening in the market and are able to act accordingly. From the management role, you steer on performance and leave the 'how question' to your suppliers. You also leave the determination of 'what to what extent' to the Product Owners. You are focused on the collaborative relationship and know how to negotiate sharply. When necessary, you know how to adopt a pragmatic attitude. You bring positive energy, are open and curious, and have a sense of humor.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Responsible for executing and further professionalizing contract management according to the CATS-CM methodology.
  • Monitoring the duration and content of the contracts and compliancy of agreed service level and KPIs.
  • Aligning the contract's objectives with the Contract Owner and collaborating with the Product Owner to develop and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Being a point of contact for various stakeholders, including internal colleagues, external market parties, suppliers, and contract partners on contract-related matters.
  • Participating in workgroups on policy issues and procurement processes.

You will work within the Contract & License Management team, part of the IT Customer Services department. The team provides contract management and license management services and is supported with contract and license administration. The services are continuously developing, partly through the use of supporting tools (ServiceNow platform). The team works partly from home and partly on the Campus in Wageningen (2 days a week).

Requirements

  • HBO+ working and thinking level.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a contract manager, of which at least 1 year within an IT environment.
  • Proven experience with the creation of contracts in the context of European tenders.
  • CATS-CM Foundation and Practitioner certified or willing to obtain these.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong oral and written proficiency in Dutch and English;

We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €3202 and €5949 for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 10/11). Additionally, a contract for 32 hours can be discussed. As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended - if possible within (company) organizational circumstances - on good performance.
