For our Business Intelligence team, we are immediately looking for a Business Intelligence specialist who, together with the other colleagues in the team, will be responsible for the development and management of WUR's enterprise data warehouse. The data warehouse is used within WUR for management information about the business processes.
In the position of Business Intelligence specialist, you are responsible for the further development of the data warehouse, converting data into valuable information for our customers. To be able to do this, we are looking for an all-round BI specialist with the ambition to further develop our PowerBI platform.

With 200 employees, our IT department provides a modern ICT environment for education and research. We work in multidisciplinary teams on current issues in the field of digitization, self-service, security, data management, high performance computing and cloud strategy. So plenty of development and career opportunities for specialists at different levels.

THE FUNCTION
Our BI team's goal is "To support and accelerate business operations within WUR by means of automated, intelligent, reliable, attractive and cross-process management information and insights". The focus is on HR, Finance and project processes. As a BI specialist, you and your team are responsible for:
  • Unlocking data from source systems and translating this data to our data warehouse;
  • Realizing management reports;
  • Realizing the migration of BODS to our new Microsoft environment;
  • Building and maintaining reports and dashboards;
  • Defining requirements together with colleagues from HR, Finance and Project Management with the aim of continuously improving our BI solution;
  • The further development of our PowerBI platform.

Requirements

  • At least a completed HBO education;
  • You have demonstrable knowledge of and experience with the Microsoft BI platform, including SSIS, SSAS Tabular and Power BI;
  • Experience with programming in T-SQL and DAX;
  • You know the best practices regarding PowerBI and Tabular and are able to apply them within the WUR context
  • You have a good command of Dutch, both verbally and in writing.

We are looking for someone who is flexible and customer-oriented, who is a good listener and who recognizes the question behind the question. You must be analytically strong, have excellent verbal and written skills, and as a team player take into account colleagues, architectural principles and standardized working methods within WUR.

It concerns employment for 32 to 36 hours per week.
