The Faculty of Arts at Radboud University is investing in the future of research and education. We are looking for six assistant professors who have a disciplinary specialism in line with our faculty and who are also flexible with regard to what they can contribute. As an assistant professor you are a talented lecturer and researcher who wants to train tomorrow’s employees. Do you recognise yourself in this profile? Then we would like to arrange a meeting with you. We are looking for various assistant professors who can teach in at least two of our programmes and whose research is an excellent addition to the ambitions of our research institutes (Centre for Language Studies; Historical, Literary & Cultural Studies). You will work at one of our three departments: Language & Communication; Modern Languages and Cultures; History, Art History and Classics.
You will develop and teach courses in our Dutch and English Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes. You will teach courses and supervise students with their internships, assignments and theses. Substantially speaking, you will contribute to at least two different programmes from among the programmes that we offer. You are capable of lecturing at all levels about subject-related matter, academic skills and research methodology. In addition, you will do research at one of the research groups at our two research institutes. You will contribute to acquiring externally financed research assignments and you will write project proposals. You will also participate in, or lead workgroups, committees and/or project groups at the department, programme or faculty.
The planned commencement date is 1 August 2019.

Faculty of Arts
The Faculty of Arts employs over 500 staff members who teach, conduct research, or support educational and research endeavours in the fields of history and art, languages and cultures, linguistics and information, and communications technology (ICT). Research is embedded in one of the two faculty research institutes: the Centre for Language Studies (CLS) or Historical, Literary and Cultural Studies (HLCS). The faculty provides education for circa 2,400 students, spread over three departments: the department of history, art history and classics, that of modern languages and cultures, and the department of language and communication.
