Proteeti completed her bachelors in Biochemistry from University of Delhi and masters in Molecular and Human Genetics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.

In 2012, she completed her PhD in Developmental Biology from European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), Heidelberg, Germany. After a short post-doc, she pursued an internship in science communication and outreach at the Office of Information and Public Affairs at EMBL.

Following this, she joined Max Planck Gesellschaft (MPG), in the division of International relations at MPG’s headquarters in Munich where she managed the India country portfolio based in New Delhi at the German House for Research and Innovation (DWIH).

Since 2018, Proteeti works at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) in Amsterdam as Scientific Project Manager of two international and multidisciplinary breast cancer research consortia: PRECISION and B-CAST.

Through all her positions till date, she has gained extensive experience in international science management, communication and research administration.
