We are looking for a lecturer aspiring to build a career in university education. To take up this position you must have a passion for structuring and delivering student focused education, both individually and in teams, at both the BSc and MSc level. You should also have proven didactic, lecturing, supervision and coordination skills, as well as an ability to develop and put into the action the wider educational vision of the Environmental Policy group and Wageningen University.
The Environmental Policy Group offers environmental social science and policy courses in Bachelor and Master programmes concerning Environment, Climate, Food, Marine, Urban and Tourism at Wageningen University and contributes to many other courses in even a wider range of fields. Our group aspires to be a front-runner in on-line teaching methods (MOOCs) and innovative student projects.
As a lecturer in our group you will contribute to an internationally oriented and interdisciplinary teaching programmes within Wageningen University. In the short term, you will be expected to:
- coordinate and lecture courses in the Bachelor and/or Masters of Environmental Sciences;
- supervise groups of students in courses, consultancy projects, thesis and internship projects;
- communicate our educational program to students within and outside Wageningen University;
- assist in building and sharing (digital) learning environments for ENP courses;
- support in the coordination of internships and theses and grading thereof.
You will also be a strong team player, collaborating with colleagues and thesis students focusing on the sociology and/or political science of food, energy, circularity, climate, and nature restoration in terrestrial and marine environments. Above all, you are a social colleague willing to balance your personal interests with those of the group.

Environmental Policy Group in Department of Social Sciences at Wageningen University which has an internationally recognised reputation in the area of environmental social science and policy research and education. Our staff, Postdocs and PhD students focus on the social and political science of environmental transformations. Research of the group has a strong international orientation, being conducted at both the global level as well as in number of countries across Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia. The staff profile of the group is also international, with more than 12 nationalities employed.
