Application procedure

Applications should be made in English and contain the following materials:

- A short statement (1 page max), explaining your motivation for applying.
- An outline (c. 1000 words) of your own research proposal within the wider framework of this project. See a possible template here: https://www.rug.nl/research/gradschool-humanities/phd-programme/phd-admission/format-for-phd-applications
- A curriculum vitae of max. 2 pages.
- Copies of MA diploma and list of grades.
- A copy of one chapter of your MA thesis, an article, book chapter, or other academic text in English that you feel best represents your work. If you do not have any academic text available in English, you can also submit the relevant academic text in Ukrainian alongside the summary in English (e.g., with the chapter of your MA thesis in Ukrainian submit the 2-3 page summary of the chapter in English).
- Contact details of two academic referees (no letters of recommendation are needed for the application process).
- In case your ReMA degree is not in English, please include a language certificate.
