Application procedure

Applications should be in English and contain the following materials:

- Cover letter, in which you explain your reasons for applying and illustrate your suitability for the position and the relevance of your previous research experience to the proposed project.
- Curriculum vitae, including a list of publications and the contact details of three academic referees (no letters of recommendation are required at this stage; only the referees of shortlisted candidates will be contacted).
- Copies of diplomas and transcripts (or list of grades) at BA, MA and PhD level; if the PhD has not yet been defended, please provide a signed statement from your doctoral supervisor confirming the prospective date of the defence.
- A research statement of 700-1,000 words (excluding bibliography) in which you set out briefly how you would approach the project.
- Writing sample of ca. 8,000 words (e.g. a section of the candidate’s PhD thesis, an article, or a seminar paper).
