Job description

We are looking for a scientific programmer for support in the development of visual analysis solutions within the Delft Data Science Initiative at the TU Delft. The goal is to provide solutions for analysing data from diverse fields. The expected role is the support of the research-oriented teams by realising a wide array of features in interactive applications, regarding UI, data handling, remote computation, visualisations, novel interaction tools, etc. The candidate will be embedded in a strong support group and will be in direct contact with various stakeholders.

One specific tool is Cytosplore (https://graphics.tudelft.nl/cytosplore/), an interactive solution for the analysis of single cell (i.e., Mass Cytometery/CyToF) data with the goal of identifying differences in the immune system that lead to different reactions to disease. Currently, we support the grouping and classification of CyToF data in a data-driven fashion but would like to integrate analysis solutions and consider additional application domains as well. Our applications are built using C++/Qt/OpenGL/D3.js.

The work has research and development components and the role within this project will develop over time.
