The Department of Anthropology and Development Studies at Radboud University is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to strengthen the research of the 'Resilient Indonesian Slums Envisioned' programme. More specifically, together with the team you will contribute to the development of a social-ecological interaction approach to strengthen and broaden our understanding of urban communities' resilience to ecological change and improve people's wellbeing in the slum areas of Bima, Manado and Pontianak. To construe such an approach you will conduct a literature study of scientific research and relevant reports and compile data from the other work packages on wellbeing, water-sensitivity and inclusive policy, looking for important characteristics and interrelations. In addition you will conduct qualitative empirical research on human-nature interactions in Indonesia to verify the findings and further deepen and underpin the theoretical understandings.
