We have an opening in a multidisciplinary project combining advanced microscopy and cell biology. You will use advanced microscopy techniques such as single particle tracking and super-resolution microscopy (PAINT, STORM) to visualize, track, quantify cell membrane receptors in a cancer cells. This will be instrumental to design targeted therapies, such as nanomedicines, able to selectively recognize surface biomarkers expressed in a specific cell phenotype. You will be embedded in the Nanoscopy for Nanomedicine group led by Lorenzo Albertazzi
https://www.tue.nl/en/research/research-groups/nanoscopy-for-nanomedicine/. The position is part of the VIDI project of Dr. Lorenzo Albertazzi. This project brings together scientists from multiple fields to design novel drug delivery carriers for personalized nanomedicine. The project will benefit of international collaborations with groups active in the field of microscopy, image analysis, and drug/gene delivery.
