Conducting practice-oriented research with results that have a direct impact in the region is your passion. The Hanze University of Applied Sciences is looking for multiple researchers to significantly boost practical research.

Job description

In your role as a Senior Researcher in Art & Technology, your focus is on stimulating practical development and societal innovation, critically questioning the role of technology within art and/or music projects and approaching them from a socio-ecological perspective. You will build upon an already developed portfolio and contribute to shaping and expanding the research portfolio of the Research Centre for Art and Society (KCKS).

In your research work, you will not only develop concepts, perspectives, and practices but also translate them into concrete projects with our societal partners. You will collaborate closely with colleagues, students, and teacher-researchers from the art and technology research line. Your expertise and guidance will challenge them in their development.

An essential aspect of your research task is to establish and sustain valuable connections within the visual arts, music, and technology scene in the Northern Netherlands. You play a pivotal role in creating synergy between various disciplines and stakeholders. Additionally, you function as a bridge between the Research Centre for Art and Society and the technically oriented professorships at Hanze University of Applied Sciences.

Utilizing your expertise and collaborating with researchers in various projects, you will position the research in important international research contexts. You will build upon existing contacts within the different professorships of the Research Centre for Art and Society, contributing to the global recognition of the research.
