Job description
We invite applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. In the strategy economics research group we focus on applied industrial organization, entrepreneurship, innovation and/or regional and urban economics. The group is uniquely placed at the intersection of economics and business studies targeting top publications in both general economics and management journals.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in economics or a related field. Those who are close to completion or already hold a tenure-track position are also invited to apply. Primary selection criteria will be outstanding research potential and teaching capabilities. Willingness to learn or ability to speak Dutch is considered a plus.

Conditions of employment

We offer you an internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with excellent working conditions in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU).

Employment starts in September 2024, and runs for an initial fixed period of 6 years. The decision to grant tenure and extend to a permanent contract can be taken as of the 3rd contract year. Promotion to associate professor will be considered at the end of the 6-year period. The position involves a teaching load of approximately 2,5 courses per academic year plus theses supervision.

You will be based at in Erasmus School of Economics (ESE). This position is for 1 fte. The salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 4.332 to a maximum of € 5.929 gross per month (scale 11) on a fulltime basis (38 hours), in accordance with the CAO-NU.

The department offers generous research support, and compensation for moving costs.
