In the coming years, Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) intends to strengthen its European and international research and education profile, by being an active partner in international education and research related consortia and networks. As part of this ambition Erasmus University wants to establish a permanent project- and programme managers pool to deal with complex and large European and National funded projects. In this setting, we are looking for a project manager for the UNIC programme.
UNIC, the European University of Cities in Post-Industrial Transition, is a transnational alliance of ten universities: the Koç University (Turkey), the Ruhr University Bochum (Germany), the University College Cork (Ireland), the University of Deusto (Spain), the University of Liège (Belgium), the University of Oulu (Finland), Malmo University (Sweden), the University of Lodz (Poland), and the University of Zagreb (Croatia).
UNIC was formed as response to the European Commission’s call to create bottom-up networks of universities throughout Europe (“European Universities”). Through the transnational alliances built under the European University Initiative the European Commission aims to enhance the quality and international competitiveness of European higher education, while promoting European values and identity.
UNIC’s ambition is to develop innovative and sustainable means of university collaboration that boost student and staff mobility while fostering social inclusion and further social impact.
