The best teaching support ensures the best education! As an LTSO you are passionate about helping lecturers with educational applications and you are focused on improving our Teaching Support website.

Job description

Nowadays, lecturers rely heavily on digital educational technologies in their work. The Teaching Support Team was created to support lecturers in their use of technology. Our team consists of Student Assistants who are the first line service desk and answer questions via email and telephone, and a group of LTSOs who coordinate the service desk. Together we support a wide range of educational applications and services. We do this by, among other things, updating the TUD Teaching Support website, training and coaching student assistants, and drawing up procedures to answer complex questions from lecturers. We implement changes and optimize supporting processes.

Our department continues to expand thanks to the focus that the TU Delft is putting on quality education and EdTech tooling. We are looking for a colleague who can work on accurately managing the support desk and coordinating daily activities.  More specifically, we are currently looking for someone who has expertise with educational tooling and experience with website development. As an LTSO – Web Support Specialist you will have general LTSO responsibilities but you will specifically focus on contributing to improving our Teaching Support website. You will work alongside our team of web content and web process specialists and fellow LTSO’s.

  • You organize and coordinate the first-line service desk in collaboration with your colleagues. You provide sufficient feedback and coach the student assistants where necessary.
  • You are an indispensable source of information for the service desk and your direct colleagues. Sometimes you consult with a functional manager or other expert to find a solution.
  • You are familiar with our processes, you continue to critically search for improvements, and you are accurate in your work.
  • You work together on improving our Teaching Support website to create the best possible User Experience for TU Delft Lecturers. You know (or learn fast) what is possible within our Content Management System. Sometimes you create features yourself, but you also work together with other stakeholders for more complex functionalities.
  • You are part of a team with Student Assistants and LTSOs that constantly work on managing and improving the content of the website. Together you make sure that the information on the website is correct and findable.

Together we are 100% committed to ensuring that lecturers receive the very best support, thus making a significant contribution to the quality of education at TU Delft!
