We offer a position for an associate professor (UHD) level in human cell models within the UMC Utrecht. To this end, the associate professor will work together with others to accelerate the development of human cell models for diseases by focusing on genetically engineering these models and by making next generation complex organ-on-a-chip or organoid models.
We are looking for a biomedical researcher trained in molecular cell biology with an excellent track record in innovative iPSC-based models for human disease and with expertise in state-of-the-art genome editing and molecular engineering of these models. The project is funded by the Governmental Sector Money and aims to strengthen the UMC Utrecht human cell model for disease research community. The candidate will closely interact with researchers working on the milestones of the Centre for Animal-Free Biomedical Translation, which is a new center at the Utrecht Science park that is made possible by a recent €124,5 million investment of The Dutch National Growth Fund.
Your research interest should fit into the strategic research program of the UMC Utrecht Brain, Circulatory Health, or Regenerative Medicine and Stem cells
