Group HIM
Our research team, Human Interactive Materials (HIM), focuses on developing interactive materials to address the evolving needs in specialized medicine, man-machine communication, and miniaturized mechanics. By utilizing smart soft materials, we aim to bridge gaps in current technologies and create new specialized functions. These materials have the ability to adapt their shape, conform to confined and sensitive spaces, and provide their functional duty on location.

One of the key aspects of our research is translating molecular effects into macroscopic phenomena and ultimately into robotic devices. To successfully develop new robotic functions tailored to their intended applications, we adopt a multidisciplinary approach encompassing all aspects from materials design and development to photonics, electronics, and mechanics.  For more information, please visit our website at www.danqingliu.nl.
