Are you passionate about scientific research? And do you want to help conduct cutting-edge research on the topic of cognitive neuroscience? As a Research Assistant at the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging, you will support researchers to investigate the inner workings of the human brain.

The Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging has a research assistants (RA) pool to support research in humans conducted at our centre. We are currently looking for two new members for the RA pool. As a research assistant, you will build up expertise and will be deployed in a variety of projects within our research institute. On top of that, you might work on additional tasks related to general research support within the Donders Institute.

As a research assistant, you will be linked to research projects that best match your skill set and availability. The projects will vary in length, and may require flexibility in your availability to work evenings and/or weekends. Research activities may include participant recruitment; inclusion and exclusion procedures; scheduling appointments; informed consent procedure; explaining the experimental procedure and tasks to participants; train, assist and/or conduct behavioural studies; running pharmacological intervention studies (organising the study master file, communication with the pharmacy, organising medical cover, and overseeing the implementation of standard operating procedures) and making EEG, MEG and/or MRI recordings. You will be responsible for collecting, checking and archiving all documents essential according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines within the study. Your responsibilities might also include data management as well data analyses under supervision and reporting.

• You should hold at least a Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology or a related field.
• You have good organisational skills (planning appointments, managing datasets with information on participants).
• You are accurate and have patience (essential because of the nature of the studies).
• You have a good command of English and preferably also of Dutch.
• You have excellent social skills, a proactive attitude and team spirit.
• Preferably, you will have an ICH-GCP qualification or BROK certificate or are willing to work towards one.
• Preferably, you have experience with any of the following techniques: EEG, MEG, fMRI, brain stimulation (e.g. TMS, tACs, tDCs, TUS).

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

• We will give you a temporary employment contract of 1 year.
• Your salary within salary scale 7 depends on your previous education and number of years of (relevant) work experience. The amounts in the scale are based on a 38-hour working week.
• You will receive an 8% holiday allowance and an 8,3% end-of-year bonus.

The Technical Group of the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging provides laboratory and IT support to researchers at the Donders Institute. The Laboratory Facilities branch has an RA pool offering a broad range of support for research projects. This RA pool teams up with the Administration and TG IT subgroups.
