Do you have organizational talent and architectural knowledge? Do you also like to work on technological developments and sustainability? This is possible with us for an excellent salary, independence in the position and plenty of opportunities to work from home. We are looking for you, because to strengthen our team we are looking for a new colleague. As an all-round Construction Project Manager, you will use your architectural expertise to manage both large and smaller construction, maintenance and infrastructure projects. It is your job to manage the preparation and implementation process.
These integrated construction projects (e.g. replacements/modifications, energy transition or new construction/renovation projects) are located on the WUR campus grounds, both in terms of education and research. That brings a lot of dynamism and interesting technology with it!
The projects have a strong architectural component and sometimes an infrastructure component. They are also often multidisciplinary. For example, the construction or renovation of a research shed or lab/educational building, the installation of a bicycle path on campus, the renovation of a lab or the replacement of a roof. You ensure that these are carried out within the preconditions of money, time and quality.
The most important aspects of your work are:
- Ensuring the preparation, planning, supervision, delivery and administration of construction and maintenance projects on WUR building(s) and grounds;
- Timely and complete reporting to the BHM section head and/or the steering committee of the project in question;
- Liaising with external advisors and, if necessary, external project managers, while maintaining control and responsibility;
- Coordination with the knowledge groups, BHM specialists and other project stakeholders;
- Ensuring proper contracting with consultants and contractors/installers in consultation with the purchasing department;
- Ensuring supervision of safety, prevention of nuisance and construction site design;
- As an internal advisor/sparring partner involved in the planning, advice and guidance around hull maintenance.
