The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at VU is a dynamic advisory and support team driving the implementation of Activating Blended Learning. We are dedicated to modernizing and enhancing education through innovative tools and approaches.

Job description

Our team is currently seeking two proactive and detail-oriented student assistants to join our team for one day a week, starting from February 1st.

Your tasks will include:
  • Supporting teachers with the setup and organization of Canvas courses
  • Providing general support to the team on tasks related to (online) education (e.g., integrating GenAI-driven tools or processes, recording, editing, and directing knowledge clips)
  • Improving the design and effectiveness of slides for educational purposes
  • Editing videos recorded by teachers to enhance their educational value

Requirements

In general, we are looking for someone who is:
  • Practical and flexible in handling a variety of tasks
  • Responsible and reliable, able to meet commitments
  • Interested in and has experience with video production and editing (Adobe Premiere, Adobe Podcast)
  • Interested in and has experience with GenAI tooling and/or critically incorporating GenAI in their study- or work-processes.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 6 months.
