Job description

You will be the main coordinator of the Metapsy project (www.metapsy.org), an open access repository of meta-analytic datasets on psychological treatments of mental disorders, including the coordination of the datasets, the technical infrastructure, the different meetings related to the project, the writing of papers using these data and teaching related to the project. This position is open to (near) graduate PHDs with teaching experience. The position offers room for development.

Your duties
  • central coordination of the Metapsy project
  • responsibility for the planning and organization of the whole Meta-psy project
  • coordination of the updates of the datasets by the core team at the VU
  • maintaining and building partnerships with international academic partners and funders to support MetaPsy
  • data extraction of the RCTs that are added
  • lead the maintenance and further development of the technical infrastructure (including R packages) of the Metapsy project
  • applying for research grants related to MetaPsy and work on meta-analysis
  • supervising PhD students in the field of meta-analysis
  • teaching bachelor, masters and/or research master students

Requirements

  • extensive experience with conducting meta-analyses (including methodological and statistical knowledge)
  • experience with managing large and complex (meta-analytic) datasets
  • knowledge of programming in R
  • excellent social and communication skills, a team player
  • having a PhD (or nearly finished with your PhD)
  • dutch-language proficiency is required at B2 level or willingness to learn the dutch language
  • teaching qualifications or willingness to acquire this

Conditions of employment

  • a salary of minimum € 3.378,00 (Scale 10) and maximum € 6.209,00 (Scale 11) gross per month, on a full-time basis. This is based on UFO profile Lecturer / Asisstant Professor 2. The exact salary depends on your education and experience.
  • a position for at least 0.8 FTE. Your employment contract will initially last 1 year.
