Postdoctoral Researcher.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher with a background in operations research, mathematics, artificial intelligence, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science.
This 2-year Postdoc position is funded by the
AIMS5.0 European project, which aims to revolutionize the manufacturing industry through the development of AI-enabled hardware and software components across the entire value chain. With 53 industrial and academic partners, the project focuses on enhancing overall efficiency and sustainability.
At
Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), you will be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team working at the intersection of computer science and industrial engineering. As a Postdoc in the
Industrial Engineering department, your focus will be on the development of
AI-enabled planning and scheduling methods that can adapt to the dynamic nature of modern manufacturing processes and supply chains.
You will contribute to real-world industrial use cases, such as:
- Resource-adaptive product specifications
- Optimized planning to mitigate supply chain bottlenecks
- Efficient manufacturing of customized products in small batches
- Improved traceability and root cause analysis in incident management
About the Team You will join the
Operations Planning, Accounting & Control (OPAC) group, known for its strong industry connections and cutting-edge research in operations management, transportation, manufacturing operations, and reliability and maintenance. We collaborate closely with researchers and industrial partners to bring impactful solutions to high-tech manufacturing challenges.
