Are you fascinated by the massive data center infrastructure required to make artificial intelligence (AI) happen? Join us on this research project in collaboration with Marvell Technology Inc. (Santa Clara, CA, USA) to develop the next generation of low-latency and high-throughput optical interconnects driven by AI applications.
Job Description In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, artificial intelligence (AI) stands as a cornerstone of innovation, transforming industries, and shaping the way we interact with the digital world. As AI continues to advance, the demand for lightning-fast and ultra-low-latency data processing and communication within datacenters has never been more critical. The Eindhoven University of Technology recognizes the pivotal role of AI and the urgency for ultra-high-speed fiber optical communications to support AI applications. To address this challenge, we are excited to announce 2 Ph.D. positions in the field of Modulation and Coding for Ultra-High-Speed Fiber Optical Communications.
These two positions are part of a collaborative research project with
Marvell Technology Inc., a leading technology company, and two research groups at TU/e: the
Signal Processing Systems (SPS) and the
Electronic Systems (ES) group. The research in this project will be performed in close cooperation between Marvell and these two research groups. Successful candidates will work on cutting-edge research to develop novel advanced modulation and coding techniques for ultra-high-speed fiber optical communication systems with a focus on short links (below 200 meters) driven by AI applications. This project offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Marvell, a global leader in semiconductor solutions for data infrastructure. Collaborating with Marvell engineers and researchers, you will have access to state-of-the-art technology and resources, as well as the chance to contribute to real-world industry applications and to perform research internships abroad.
